IN MY FEELINGS

I have always believed in love and purpose, 

The beauty and possibilities that could be

That senseless and selfless feeling of ecstasy

Then comes the flash backs of what has been, 

The feelings of emptiness, anxiety like a circus

Crippling deep desire that should be

This generation terrifies me 

Has the possibility of true love lost its gleam

Has vagueness in strict logic stolen it’s steam

Desperately I pray for my unborn children

That they may not miss out on true love 

Not to be transformed by a loveless and senselessly logical society
