She felt the weight of the world on her shoulders,
her mind running on overdrive, sending great distress to her heart and body.
Everything she lacked,
every pain she felt,
everything she lost,
every deep regret,
every craving she ever had, her dreams, hopes and aspirations taunting her every thought
If only she could just rip herself out of her body,
if only she could just scream her worries away. Her heart pounding out of her chest,
her knees weak and trembling in fear,
her tear glands full and ready to burst.
Stress invited anxiety and they had a feast of depression in the duplex of her mind, soul and body.
She seeks for help, desperately hoping someone will come and save her.
God seems so far away in these time and in her weakness no hope of found.
And like magic she is reminded that When He seems soo far He’s closest to us
riding the storm with us on our voyage to d peaceful shores.
Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
